War Databases
The War Databases refer to three separate databases related to finnish warhistory: Sotasampo, Sotasurmasampo, and Sotamuistosampo.
Sotasampo enables research into the Second World War. With Sotasampo you can search, browse, and visualize extensive datasets on Finland in the Second World War, and explore, for example, the wartime experiences of relatives who fought in the Winter War, the Continuation War, and the Lapland War.
Sotasurmasampo is a portal covering war-related events connected to Finland between 1914 and 1922.
Sotamuistosampo, meanwhile, contains accounts and memories from war veterans.
