Exceptions to opening hours
- On public holidays, the branches of the National Archives are closed.
- On the eve of the holidays, the ranches are open 9 am–4 pm.
Helsinki
- Monday–Friday 9 am–4 pm
- Material from Rauhankatu is delivered to the reading room until 2:30 pm (delivery time max. 90 minutes)
- Deliveries of material from Siltavuori are made once per day
- Deliveries of material from Hallituskatu are made once per day from Wednesday to Friday. Requests for materials must be made the previous day before 2.30 pm at the latest.
Hämeenlinna
- Tuesday–Friday 9 am–4 pm
- Reading room is exceptionally closed Fri 26.8.
- Material is delivered to the reading room during 9 am–11 am and 12 noon–3 pm
The Sámi Archives, Inari
- Monday–Thursday 9 am–4 pm

- Material from Pirttiniemenkatu is delivered to the reading room from Tuesday to Thursday during 9 am–11 am and 12 noon–3 pm
- Material from the central archives is delivered to the reading room once per day from Tuesday to Thursday. Requests for materials must be made the previous day before 2 pm at the latest. Any possible special arrangements must be agreed on in advance: kirjaamo@kansallisarkisto.fi.
Oulu
