Our library services

Our library is a specialised scientific library for the archiving field and heraldry. Its collections currently contain about 334,000 volumes of Finnish and foreign literature and about 200 titles of journals in various languages.

Our library collections include

• Finnish and foreign literature to support the archiving field, document management and the use of archives
• historical literature
• journals and periodicals relating to the field and other data material
• literature related to heraldry and sigillography
• separate collections of regional and cultural historic value.

The library’s materials cannot be borrowed and taken home, but they can be remotely borrowed from one branch to another. It is possible to get copies for a fee, if necessary.

• The material catalogued in the service is also available in the Melinda database of Finnish libraries.
