Reading room services of the National Archives of Finland in Helsinki during the renovation of Rauhankatu in 2026–2028

We will announce more information about the opening hours and service practices in the autumn of 2025.
The main building of the National Archives of Finland in Helsinki (Rauhankatu 17) will be renovated from May 2026.
During the renovation, we will offer reading room services in two temporary locations.
Reading room services are scheduled to start in May 2026 at the National Library of Finland (Unioninkatu, Helsinki) and the National Board of Antiquities’ collection archives (Hakkila, Vantaa).
We will announce more information about the opening hours and service practices of the temporary facilities in the autumn of 2025.
During the transition to the temporary facilities, there will be interruptions in reading room and information request services, and we will announce more information about their duration at the end of 2025.
