Opening hours and customer service during Christmas
Reading rooms and their telephone service will be closed from 23 December 2024 to 1 January 2025.
Reading rooms and the reading room telephone service will be closed from 23 December 2024 to 1 January 2025.
During this period it is not possible to order any materials to the reading rooms or borrow materals to the other branches.
In Hämeenlinna, digital deliveries will also unavailable during Christmas from 22 to 31 December 2024.

Availability of the chat service
The chat service is normally available from Monday to Thursday between 1 pm and 4 pm.
This means that, during Christmas and New Year, the chat service will be available as follows:
- Mon 23 December: from 1 pm to 4 pm
- Mon–Tue 30–31 December: from 1 pm to 4 pm
- Thu 2 January: from 1 pm to 4 pm
- From Tue 7 January: available during regular opening hours
The chat service will be closed as follows:
- Tue–Thu 24–26 December
- Fri 27 December
- Wed 1 January
- Fri 3 January
- Mon 6 January
Registry office
The registry office will also be open on weekdays during the holiday season. The registry office will only be closed from 24 to 26 December 2024 and on 1 January 2025.
